Kevin Reynen

Kevin Reynen spent the last 2 years as the lead developer for the Knight News Challenge funded Open Media Project. This project goes well beyond encoding video for playback on the web. It allows viewers to run an actual TV channel. That's right! Drupal users determine what airs on TV in several US cities. Think of it as sharing the remote of TiVo with hundreds of your neighbors. The modules developed for the Open Media Project include everything from encoding, Creative Commons licensing, metadata, and managing equipment checkouts.

Before the Open Media Project, Kevin worked for the graduate program of the Reynolds School of Journalism helping experienced journalists retool for the web2.0 world.
