Mark has been developing PHP applications for the last seven years for Austin Peay State University, University of Tennessee Libraries and Jones International, Jones e-global library and Jones International University. Mark has been working with Drupal for over two years, and has thoroughly enjoyed being able to contribute to the wonderful FlashVideo module, releasing theme-related modules Text Resize and Quotations, and now a CCK widget/UI module called Multiselect.
Mark recently received a Drupal "Certified to Rock" rating of 5 from the experts at GVS. According to them, this puts him in the top 8% of all Drupal users in the system. Here's an explanation of their rating system.
He's currently experimenting with Drupal 7 and working on upgrading various modules into the new cutting-edge version of the content management system.
He has recently moved back to the South to his hometown of Clarksville, TN and is an active member of multiple groups on G.D.O. including Drupal in Education, Nashville Drupalers, Videocasters, Libraries, and the Southern Colorado Users' Group.
You can find him on Drupal.org at http://drupal.org/user/249768 and Groups.Drupal.org at http://groups.drupal.org/user/17488.
Things he's been working on recently in Drupal:
- A new module for displaying quotations in Drupal: Quotations
- Rebuilding Austin Peay State University, a previously static site, in Drupal
- Converting Multiselect module to D7 using the new Field API and Field module (now available as a dev release)
- Converting Text Resize to D7 (now available as a dev release)
- Migrating Jones International University to Drupal, which was previously powered by a home-grown CMS (over 10,000 nodes migrated in less than 3 months!)
- Building a user-generated video site for university students using the FlashVideo module
- Dreaming of building of building that next great module, possibly something related to the world of education and learning management systems
