Drupal Commerce is the next generation e-commerce module suite for Drupal 7. The project is a re-implementation of Ubercart's core feature set on Drupal 7 using the best new core Drupal features and depending on the strongest Drupal contributions. Drupal Commerce can be dropped into existing Drupal sites to add targeted e-commerce functionality to the site or used as the basis for full-blown Drupal e-commerce distributions.
I fell in love with the Drupal codebase - not the user interface - around 2001 and have used it in various projects ever since. This includes community sites for clients, Drupal as an add-on to online magazines, and my personal weblog. In 2007, I co-authored the first O'Reilly book (published in Germany only) about Drupal.
A father of three children, I am also actively interested in media education. On and off, I teach classes in online publishing for elementary school children and have recently started to hold workshops in physical computing for children.
