Please note this session has been moved from the earlier time of 10:00-10:50.

Up until now, CRMs have been accessible through API modules, or partially integrated such as CiviCRM. Creating a Drupal CRM will be no easy task, so we're gathering to discuss how to proceed with this mammoth undertaking.

The CRM will be developed for Drupal 7 and, resources permitting, be backported to Drupal 6.

The key issues for discussion:

  • Will DCRM use profile2 entities to represent contacts, and if so, what needs to be included?
  • Will DCRM provide extra field types, such as profile_reference fields?
  • Will DCRM provide views?
  • What other UI tools should DCRM provide?

Please do come along and show your support and enthusiasm for creating a proper Drupal CRM!

For more information on the project to date, please see http://www.dropcrm.org and if you would like to raise an issue for discussion at this session, even if you can't be there in person, please post it here or at http://www.dropcrm.org/node/26.
